When drawing the image above, I forgot what money looked like. Leonardo isn't supposed to look like Conan O' Brien. And those white lines are cocaine.
This was the most enjoyable experience I've had watching a movie all year (This Is The End comes pretty close though). Scorsese has crafted something familiar using his previous films Goodfellas and Casino as templates and somehow made something that felt wholly original and unique. This is movie comfort food that still manages to be challenging and important. I could not recommend it enough, go see it already!
Here's to you, my favorite film of 2013. Not to mention, it's also a top five favorite Scorsese film now.
